About 5th Mind

Experience-oriented Learning Revolution.
5th Mind Training & Consulting GmbH was formed in 2002 and is an international training network headquartered in Vienna. We perform experience-oriented training sessions to pass on practically applicable knowledge from the areas of business, corporate management and finance.

Constant Learning
The name 5th Mind comes from Peter Senge’s standard work on organisational development: “The Fifth Discipline. Art and Practice of Learning Organisation”. In this work, 5th mind represents the thinking style of the learner. We have, however, also been inspired by the daoistic 5 element theory, which interprets the interaction between the elements as a process, for example in companies. Last but not least, the name is intended as a guarantee that all five of your senses will benefit from our training sessions.

Turning Knowledge into Action.
The 5th Mind training method is based on the maxim “learning business by doing business”. Using company simulations, it is possible to experience the complex interrelations involved in corporate management and to learn about them without excessive effort: in a highly efficient way and in the shortest possible time. Our experience shows: people only enjoy learning when it comes easily.

The Result: You Know How.
When actively managing a company, ongoing practical decisions are made. The effects and interrelations of these decisions on the success of the company are immediately apparent. Employees are instructed in the successful management of real companies by taking responsibility for a fictitious company. The aim is to experience how it is possible to increase the success of a company in a sustained manner by means of business knowledge.
